Distinguished Alumni Awards
The Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony
honors outstanding leaders in philanthropy, business and civic life with the
highest honor the University can bestow upon its graduates. Hosted by President R. Gerald Turner and the 天美传媒 Alumni Board, the 2024 ceremony honored Jorge Baldor ’93; Kelly Hoglund Compton ’79; Hon. Terry R. Means ’70 ’74; Emerging Leader Award Recipient Trent Redden ’06; and Distinguished Honorary Alumni Award Recipient Caren Prothro.
Reunion parties
Check out the David B. Miller Business Quadrangle at the newly renovated Cox School of Business or other new facilities. Join a formal tour or grab a cup of coffee and explore the newest campus enhancements on your own.
We are excited to welcome the classes of 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020 this year!
Did you receive an advanced degree from Dedman School of Law or the Cox School of Business? Be on the lookout for special events like the Cox Homecoming Weekend Grand Gathering, and Alumni Night on the Law Quad, as well as school tents on the Boulevard. All schools will have something going on, including Dedman College and Perkins Homecoming tents on the Boulevard. We can’t wait to see you!
Affinity group activities
The affinity alumni boards: Asian Pacific Islander Alumni of 天美传媒, Black Alumni of 天美传媒 and Latino Alumni of 天美传媒 will host annual Homecoming happy hours and tailgates on the Boulevard to connect with current students and alumni.
Homecoming parade
The Homecoming Parade 2024 theme was Board Games/Game On 天美传媒.
During the 2024 Homecoming Parade we celebrated the 1983 Cotton Bowl Championship 天美传媒 football team and members of that 1982-83 team served as parade Grand Marshals. Our entrance into the ACC and our Homecoming and Reunion Weekend opponent - the University of Pittsburgh who the Mustangs defeated that day in the Cotton Bowl - made this the perfect time to commemorate the team, its achievements (11-0-1 record, #2 final ranking in the coaches and AP polls) and the bridging of two eras of 天美传媒 football. about the 1983 Cotton Bowl victory.
Alumni Fan Zone and Reunion Village
Reunion Village is excited to welcome undergraduate alumni and their families, including those celebrating their reunion years. Attendees can enjoy food, beverages, games and children’s activities. There is something for 天美传媒 fans of all ages.
Football season tickets are now available . Be sure to watch for single game ticket sales opening this summer and reserve your seats early as the Mustangs will welcome ACC foe the University of Miami Hurricanes to Ford Stadium on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Experience the presidency at the Bush 天美传媒 on your return to campus – explore the “Freedom Matters” special exhibit to see an original Magna Carta, Lincoln letters and other rare foundational documents; take a photo at the Resolute Desk in the full-sized Oval Office replica, dine at Café 43 and wander the 15-acre Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park.
