Biography
David brings his expertise in online education along with extensive and varied experience in international business and in classroom teaching.
Holding both an MBA and a JD, David has worked as both a senior level executive and general counsel for different international companies with interests in both the United States and China which enjoyed tenfold growth in sales and nine-figure revenues during his tenures. David later consulted to various organizations on cross border collaboration and conflict management, as well as in forensic evaluation of failed US-China ventures. He is an accredited federal expert on China and SOE governance and asked to testify about these issues to federal arbitration panels. David speaks to business and governmental leadership groups about China US relationships.
Over the past 15 years, David has taught at Duke University, the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler School of Business, and the St. Galler Business School in Switzerland. David has also developed and taught online courses for Kenan-Flagler and Harvard University. He has also served as a visiting international instructor at Tsinghua University. David has trained faculty at numerous additional schools, including Wake Forest, Tulane, American University, and Claremont in developing courses for the online presentation and how to teach in the face-to-face online environment. David was the first faculty coach hired by Noodle when it was starting its first programs with client universities. David’s coaching experience became the basis of the Noodle faculty coaching and development program.
