Biography

My research focuses on 19th and early 20th century multi-ethnic American literature. I am particularly interested in how gender and racialization are reflected in archival records during this period, as well as the subsequent fictionalization of these racialized and gendered lives.

My M.A. thesis focused on fictionalized representations of Indigenous gender identity and sexuality through modes of Native American storytelling.
