Biography

Dr. Lindsey is a lawyer and clinical psychologist.  He received his B.A. degrees in psychology and political science from Johnson C. Smith University (Charlotte, N.C.).  His Masters degrees were earned at the University of Louisville (teaching), and the University of Alabama (clinical-correctional psychology).  Dr. Lindsey’s legal studies were completed at Villanova Law School (Villanova, Pa), and his doctorate in clinical psychology was awarded at Hahnemann University (Philadelphia, Pa.).

Dr. Lindsey is a Lecturer in the department of psychology, at 天美传媒 Methodist University in Dallas, TX; and adjunct faculty for The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, in Reno, Nevada.  He is a member of the Gault Juvenile Defender 天美传媒, and a member of the American Psychological Association.  Dr. Lindsey serves as a consultant to numerous juvenile and judicial organizations.

Spring 2025
PSYC 3341 | Social Psychology

Addresses the question of how an individual’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by his/her social environment; includes topics such as attitude change, conformity, attraction, aggression, and small-group behavior.

PSYC 3360 | Health Psychology

A basic introduction to the subject. Topics include causes and correlates of health, illness, and dysfunction, as well as the interplay of emotions, cognitions, and behavioral and/or physical factors.

PSYC 3370 | Personality

An examination of theories and research that address the underlying bases of personality and the causes of individual differences. Emphasis is on the normal personality, but the causes of abnormal personality development are also considered.

PSYC 4376 | Psychology of Religion

Introduces the major issues, theories, and empirical approaches to the psychology of religion. Topics covered include the role that religion plays in the beliefs, motivations, emotions, and behavior of individuals.
