Eurhythmics: Music In Motion

These sequential sessions will approach the elements of music through kinesthetic awareness. Participants will be actively engaged in music making through purposeful movement and will examine learning through brain to body connections. Activities will include movement, rhythmic solfége and keyboard improvisation. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to plan rhythmic lessons that are appropriate for general music, choral and instrument rehearsals, and special needs populations, sequence movement instruction to ensure success, select appropriate music to enhance purposeful movement, and articulate the pedagogical approach of Dalcroze Eurhythmics.
