Aaron Boyd, director of chamber music and violin professor at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Meadows, will be a featured performer in Odyssey: The Chamber Music Society in Greece, the first show of the new fall season of Live From Lincoln ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, airing on national PBS stations Friday, September 6 (8 p.m. Central time). For the first time in the series’ 43-year history, Live From Lincoln ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has taken its show outside the U.S., presenting the extraordinary musicians of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ in a special broadcast across iconic settings in Greece, birthplace of the classical ideal.

The ensemble will perform works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Bach, Debussy, Ravel, and Greek-American composer George Tsontakis in locales including the First Ancient Theatre of Larissa, the historic Church of Pammegiston Taxiarchon at Pelion, and the newly opened Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ in Athens.

Live From Lincoln ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, winner of 17 Emmy Awards, is a cornerstone of performing arts broadcasting, bringing the world’s greatest artists and performances in music, dance, and theater from Lincoln ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s renowned stages to households across America on PBS. Since its premiere in 1976, Live From Lincoln ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has given hundreds of millions of people the chance to watch performances by legendary performers and ensembles.

Aaron Boyd has established an international career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral leader, recording artist, lecturer and educator.
